There is an online crop going on at the Personal Scrapper message boards. Lots of fun challenges to get your creative juices flowing. I'll be doing the challenges as well as going to an actual crop this weekend. I am so excited to be scrapping again. Can't wait to post what I get done.
Here are the list of challenges if you want to participate too. You don't have to be a kit subscriber to participate in the online forum and crops.
BACK TO SCHOOL CROP
1. ALPHABET BACKGROUND CHALLENGE – Use your extra alphabets/numbers to create a background for your layout.... This is a good way to use up some of your extra letters/numbers.
I don't have an example yet but one idea I had was to use a few different thickers and form an alphabet border around the page and do a school page in the middle? You could also do a countdown (10.9.8 etc) and then put a picture at the end.
2. SUMMER RECAP – Summer is over :( Create a layout (or 2 pager) recapping your whole summer. You could even just re-cap a special weekend or event in the summer, etc. The more photos the better!
3. SCRAPLIFT GALLERY – Go the photo gallery. Over on the recent additions section you will see 5 layouts (this is always changing as people upload layouts). Select one of the layouts and scraplift it.
Please tell us who's layout you ended up scraplifting :)
4. BLOCK CHALLENGE - Create a layout using 9 squares (4*4 each). The squares can be patterned paper/cardstock and can either have photos or embellishments.
5. PERSONALSCRAPPER.COM KIT – Create a layout using only the contents of a PersonalScrapper kit :)
6. PAINT, INK, PENS – OH MY! – Use ink, paint, pens, glittery sprays etc to give your layout that extra sparkle.
7. BACK TO SCHOOL - Scrapbook a back to school photo! Maybe its your kids this year (or years ago), or maybe it is even your own school picture from years ago. You can even scrapbook how you buy school supplies, etc. :)
8. ENHANCED PHOTO – Scrapbook a layout centered around an enhanced photo. The photo could be black and white, sepia, or photoshopped! If you don't have one, use an enlarged photo for your layout.
9. TREE – For this challenge use some type of trees in your layout. There was some really cute tree paper and felties in your September kit! You also could make a tree or family tree.
10. SUMMER CAMP - We just finished summer camp at PersonalScrapper! Go to the summer camp challenges and pick one to do a layout with (or do them all!). You can repeat a challenge but it has to be a new layout.
